UPEL – Together for Grinzing
Dear parents,
The election for the primary School council and the School board is coming up!
The UPEL parents’ association will participate in the elections.
Here is some important information on how you can support UPEL and help shape our school community.
Who is UPEL?
The Union des Parents d’Élèves (UPEL) represents the interests of parents at the Lycée Français de Vienne, including the Grinzing site.
Our team consists of parents who work on a voluntary basis to improve the learning conditions of our children and to promote dialog between parents, teachers and the school management. We actively represent your concerns as parents.
What does UPEL do?
UPEL offers a platform that supports parents in all school-related issues.
Our activities include regular meetings with the school management and bringing the parental perspective into school decisions.
We also organize a variety of Wednesday afternoon activities for children, including creative workshops, sports activities and cultural events that promote learning in a relaxed and fun environment. Once again this year, we are the only organization that has something on offer even for our youngest children in the Petite Section!
UPEL is also on hand to advise parents on individual school challenges, be they educational or organizational. Together with parents, teachers and school management, we always find a solution.
What is the School council?
The primary school committee is the central body that represents the interests of parents in school decision-making. Topics such as the school budget, curriculum changes and organizational issues are discussed here. The elected representatives have a direct influence on the further development of our school and are committed to ensuring that the concerns of parents and pupils are heard. Strong parent representation on the committee enables us to get the best for our children.

What’s next?
There are a few simple next steps:
